It’s not every day that we get a sneak peek into the personal life of Lauryn Hill. We can glean that she appears to be happy, out of the spotlight raising her children. But those of us who studied The Miseducation, and the subsequent events, may be wondering what is her relationship like with the father of her children and former fiance Rohan Marley.

Well, from the looks of things, pretty good.

Back in February, we reported that the boy honored in Lauryn’s song “To Zion” is not so much a boy anymore. He’s a father.

According to TMZ, it’s a possibility. Sources who are close to production have said that the former “America’s Next Top Model” winner has been filming scenes with consistent cast members of the hit Bravo show.

TMZ reports that producers want to do something a little different in the upcoming season and it’s time for Marcille to show and prove.

Apparently, she’s already shot scenes with NeNe Leakes and could possibly replace Porsha Williams or Cynthia Bailey, as their storylines are said to be drying up.

While Eva is younger than most of the other ladies–which is likely the goal– they’re looking for someone who has good chemistry with the group and can bring the drama.

She might be up for the challenge.

As we told you previously, Ci Ci and her brood recently worked out together on stationary bikes, with Ciara working to get off the baby weight, husband Russell Wilson training in preparation for NFL training camp later this month, and Future, well, just having fun:

And while baby Future couldn’t keep up with his parents’ intense workouts (kidding! I’m aware that he’s just a 3-year-old), Wilson is still down to put in work with his Mrs. Ciara shared video of the couple working up a sweat while doing battle ropes simultaneously. He might be a quarterback for the Seahawks who is currently consuming nearly 5,000 calories a day to get ready for football season, but the “1,2 Step” singer definitely held her own:

As for the aforementioned diet though, both Wilson and Ciara are taking part in it. According to ESPN, the Wilsons are working with “food coach” Philip Goglia and consuming lean proteins and lots of fruits and veggies while cutting out dairy and gluten. According to Goglia, basically, “If it’s got more than one ingredient in it, he couldn’t eat it.” As for being able to indulge in their favorite foods, Goglia said that Russell gets one cheat snack every two weeks. 

As extreme as it may sound, the couple has already seen results. Russell has reportedly dropped 10 pounds since getting on the plan, and based on her posts, Ciara has already lost five pounds.

For as long as I can remember, there have been rumors about Tupac dating Madonna. And in 2015, the singer told Howard Stern that they were involved before he passed away. Madonna said Rosie Perez introduced them.

Apparently, it came as a surprise to some folks, including fellow rapper A$AP Rocky

While I don’t know the extent of their relationship and whether or not it involved sex (likely), there is evidence from Tupac that not only did they both date, Tupac was the one to break things off with her because of race.

In the letter, obtained by TMZ , the parts that are not redacted read as follows.

Would love to know if she visited him in prison and whether or not they ever communicated after this.

I don’t want to get too in depth with my opinion on his decision. But judging by her insinuation that she was going be the [White] savior for rappers and basketball players and the fact that Madonna called her own son the n-word, in 2014 and didn’t see the problem with it, I’d say things worked out as they were supposed to.

Another letter from Tupac sold for $170,000. It’ll be interesting to see what happens to this one. Honestly, I don’t know how or why Madonna let it go.

In late June, Netflix released a short teaser for Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It series, which is an adaptation of the 1986 film. At first glance, despite the clip being only 15 seconds, it looks like a winner. Spike Lee direction (striking and provocative imagery in both black and white and color) at its finest:

A week later, the streaming giant has released a much longer sneak peek (it’s not a complete season trailer), which introduces us to Nola Darling (played by DeWanda Wise)’s three romantic interests. Sticking to the film’s storyline, they include Greer Childs (Cleo Anthony), Jamie Overstreet (Lyriq Bent) and Mars Blackmon (Anthony Ramos). In the sneak peek, we watch them interact in a way that feels more like a screen test than a clip meant to get people excited about what is to come:

As a big She’s Gotta Have It fan and Spike Lee joint lover, I’m just going to be honest. As far as sneak peeks go, the acting in this compilation feels a bit forced, particularly in the scenes with Greer and Mars. That has, for some reason, been the case with the last few projects (i.e., Da Sweet Blood of Jesus and Red Hook Summer). Still, that doesn’t mean that the show won’t impress. One minute and 15 seconds of footage is much different than 30-minute episodes, so we’ll see.

As for the project as a whole, the decision to turn the film into a show actually came from the mind of Spike Lee’s wife, Tonya, who serves as executive producer of the project.

“It Was My Wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, Producer In Her Own Right, Who Had The Vision To Take My Film From The Big Screen And Turn It Into An Episodic Series,” Lee said in 2016 after the 30th anniversary of his first feature film. “It Had Not Occurred To Me At All. Tonya Saw It Plain As Day. I Didn’t.”

The 10-episode series, shot in Brooklyn, will debut on Netflix on Thanksgiving. Check out the sneak peek, as well as the cool official official poster below, and let us know what you think.

Yesterday, I stumbled across the above image of Tiny serenading a seated T.I. as he held their daughter in his lap.
And honestly, my first thought was ‘No, girl. Don’t go back!”

But once I actually watched the video of the moment, I realized that there was little spark between them. If anything, she was focused on Heiress.

And, as someone pointed out on social media, it was nice to see Tiny on the very tour T.I. tried to forbid her from attending.

Later, I would read this interview from Tiny that made me believe that it was a moment of compromise between the two parents because  Tiny revealed  co-parenting with T.I. hasn’t been all that easy.

During Essence Fest weekend, the singer told People that their 15-month daughter is doing well.

“The baby is great. Lately, she talks a little bit. Her new thing is saying ‘uh huh,’ which is so cute because for the longest she’d just tell you ‘No.’”

But dividing up her time between she and T.I. has been challenging.

“It’s pretty good but we still fight over spending time with the baby.”

In the past, she says, “We’d just spend time together, but now it’s like, ‘I want her,’ ‘No, I want her.’ ‘Well, you better come to my house then,’ ”

As for her relationship with T.I. she says, “It’s a process. Me and Mr., we’re in and out.”

But with the dissolution of her relationship, she’s been reunited with her group.

“I feel great. As one thing goes down the drain, another thing is coming up. It’s not about another man or anything like that. It’s about doing what I love and making money. I’m not missing anything.”

Last August, actress Lauren London and longtime boyfriend, rapper Nipsey Hussle, welcomed a baby boy named Kross. London kept a pretty low profile before giving birth and after, but when she decided to step out with Nipsey to enjoy a Laker’s game in March, some people had a lot to say about her weight.

London would eventually respond to her fat-shamers on social media.

“I’ve been getting compliments on my LOOKS for years. I NEVER let it ‘gas me’ because I knew the enduring value in all things is internal,” she wrote. “When I decided to have my son, I knew the Internet would be cruel. I knew that casting directors would consider me out of commission for at least a year. I knew that MY BODY would change, but I did not let the fear of these things effect [sic] me to the point of going against my spirit. I asked myself: would you rather be at conflict with yourself and at peace with the world? Or at peace with yourself and at conflict with the world? I chose the latter, at that moment I was ready for whatever came with it. This lil weight will get worked off and WHO I AM WILL BE UNCOMPROMISED. WIN-WIN NO?”

That pretty much stuck a fork in all conversations about the body of the actress. But the 32-year-old also took the opportunity she was given to speak to a much larger audience about the importance of not feeling pressed to fit anybody else’s beauty standards or preferences for her body.

“I had just had a baby and I went to a Laker game and they were like, ‘Oh my God she lost it! Look at her! Looks a mess! She’s so big now!'” London said while appearing on CBS’ The Talk on Friday.

“For me, it was like, I just gave birth on a whole ‘nother level. I did some God work. I love myself. Weight comes and goes. And I’m a woman and I like pizza and I like french fries and I like burgers and I’m not going to deprive myself of things that I like and enjoy because of how people see me.”

We heard that, sis.

He may have dropped 100 pounds, but Vince Herbert isn’t the only person in his home whose body is looking pretty great these days.

The Mrs. of the household, Tamar Braxton, who has been back out on the road touring and recently performed her newest single, “My Man” at the BET Awards late last month, showed off her own fit frame on Instagram. In a python-print ensemble worn at a recent tour stop, Braxton displayed her toned arms and super tight abs. We, along with the rest of her followers on social media, couldn’t help but notice:

“Forget being snatched….you are PLUCKED hunny!!!” one fan said. “You are serving babes!!”

“Damn!” said another. “Those abs tho!!”

And fan @wesha85 put it best: “you betta make it work and come all the way through!!!!!!! YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ BOO”

Extra, I know.

So how does the 40-year-old mother and entertainer continue to look this good (or like “a snack,” as the kids say)? Well, as she told the ladies of The Real a few years back, it took her nine months to put on 60 pounds with Logan, so after giving birth, she was in no rush to slim down. But keeping up with an exercise routine when she was ready to start, and giving herself a break when things weren’t always going as planned, allowed the star to get to that picture you see above.

“I refuse to quit or cancel anything,” Braxton told Access Hollywood in 2015 about her workout routine. “Some days are great days. Some days are not.”

And she knows how to get back to work after overindulging. Braxton offered an exercise tip to fans and followers preparing to celebrate Independence Day yesterday.

“Eat your heart out🌭🍔🍰🍹🍸… but get in that gym tomorrow!!” she wrote on Instagram. “Ain’t nothing like looking like the 4th and it’s the 10th of July #staywithit 😂“

All day yesterday, the talk of the town…of the nation really, was this Rob Kardashian drama with Blac Chyna. In case you missed it, Rob was posting nude images of Chyna on Instagram, claiming that she had had her body augmented (news to no one), saying that she had slept with men the same day she’d slept with him, claiming that she was a negligent mother.

And despite warning from a couple of celebrities, including Snoop and T.I., telling him that it was best to just take his L and move on, Rob persisted. To the point that Instagram deactivated his account.

He then took his tirade to Twitter.

While the whole thing read as comedic to some folks–pause– I should note here that the official Twitter account for Dru Hill had a hilarious reaction.

But besides that, what Rob did yesterday, violated laws, specifically California’s revenge porn one.
Attorneys told the New York Daily News they believe Kardashian violated California’s law enacted in 2013.

The law describes revenge porn as sharing the image of an “intimate body part of another identifiable person, or an image of that person engaged in sexual intercourse, sodomy, oral copulation or masturbation.”

The person, as Rob did, must intentionally distribute the image though the understanding was that it would be kept private and the person must have done so with the intent to cause emotional distress.

As of Wednesday, an investigation had not been opened but Elisa D’Amico, an expert on revenge porn cases at K&L Gates who also helps lead the Cyber Civil Rights Legal Project in Miami, said, “It’s more difficult to pursue without the victim’s cooperation, but with something like this, I imagine many eyes are looking already. It’s fairly high profile. A lot of lawyers are already up in arms.”

Though one revenge porn expert believes nothing will come of this as everything the Kardashians do is scripted to drive profits.

Another lawyer suggested that given the parties involved, Blac Chyna, the case may be a difficult one to see through.

“There are so many truly tragic cases out there, but this one is a little messy because of the people involved and how they monetize their bodies in celebrity culture,” Eric Johnstone said. “They monetize abuse and harassment.”

Eric sounds like a victim of the patriarchy. You don’t have to be a fan of Blac Chyna to understand that she was violated. And her choosing to share images of her body with the world and Rob doing it without her consent as a way to get even are two totally different things.

If Chyna does press charges and Rob is convicted, the criminal penalty is up to six months in jail. And if she sues for distress and emotional damages, the fact that he shared these images with his millions of followers, she too could walk away with millions.

I think she absolutely should do so.

It’s a cold world out here. Just when you find love, there will be people who attempt to exploit it for profit.

While that’s not the case for most of us–people generally aren’t thinking about the average man or woman. But for Kenya Moore that’s what’s going on.

According to TMZ, producers are attempting to get her new husband Marc Daly to appear as a cast member on the show.

The way TMZ puts it, it’s not just about inviting Daly to appear, it’s more like giving Kenya an ultimatum. Sources claim that producers have told Kenya that the only way she’ll survive on the show is if her relationship is on the table.

But Marc, a former banker, is not here for it. Apparently, he has problems with the way “RHOA” portrays Black men.

Kenya has argued that the show hired her and not her husband and that his name is not mentioned in her contract.

They also said that she’s told producers that after waiting 46 years for love, she’s not in a hurry to jeopardize it.

And we’ve all seen the type of pressure these shows put on married couples, particularly newlyweds. See: Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas.

While the argument has merit, producers are not here for it, saying that if she doesn’t bring Marc onto the show, she’ll be phased out.

On another, slightly different but related note, Kenya is also undergoing IVF treatments in order to get pregnant.

Stress decreases the likelihood of that happening, so we’re sure all of this drama is not good for her right now.

It looks like her new marriage is already being tested with a very difficult decision. It’ll be interesting to see what happens. I will say though, that the fact that Daly doesn’t want to appear on the show is a good sign.

Is it ever really possible for a couple to have an “amicable” split if both parties didn’t come to the understanding that their marriage needed to end? While people wanted us to believe the breakup of actor Jesse Williams and estranged wife Aryn Drake-Lee would be peaceful, at this point, that’s not happening — especially when it comes to their two kids and sharing parenting duties.

In June, Williams filed papers stating that Drake-Lee was keeping him from spending time with Sadie, 3, and Maceo, 2.

“Aryn restricts my time with the children and decides when, and for how long I may have them,” he said last month. “She has rejected, without any reason, each and every request I have made to have the children sleepover at my residence. On the few days that I have the children, Aryn has insisted that my time with the children be limited during the week to approximately two-and-a-half hours per day, despite my requests for more time, including overnights with the children.”

In response, Drake-Lee’s lawyer said that she was trying to protect the well-being and privacy of their kids, so she refused to respond to his “public allegations.”

Maybe that encouraged Williams, 35, to try and see if things could be handled privately. But according to TMZ, despite making attempts to improve their situation, things have not gotten better. Therefore, he wants a formal custody agreement put in place.

While the number of days he’s been able to spend with the kids has increased, he’s still only allowed to see Sadie and Maceo about three hours a day. And even though he has gone ahead and rented a home just three miles away from his estranged wife so that there would be less barriers in his ability to be with them, Drake-Lee still won’t allow sleepovers. He wants that to change, and went as far as to try and prove his bond with his kids by stating their favorite foods and nicknames in the legal papers. That includes mac and cheese for “Sadie Munchkin” and allegedly “anything we put in front of Mace” works for the 2-year-old.

And while he may not get more time with his kids right now, he’s enjoying time with his family and somebody else’s kid. Williams snapped a picture with his brothers and mother and an unidentified adorable baby while enjoying a holiday vacation:

She’s even willing to put a rumor out there in the hopes that it gets his attention and makes something happen.

“I want a rumor to be out there that Chris Pine and I had a baby!” she joked to the magazine. “Let’s start that rumor: ‘Chilli and Chris Pine are expecting!’ And if anybody asked me, I would just be really quiet and be like, ‘Hey, I’m not saying anything.'”

The “C” in TLC, who has dated Usher in the past and was linked to Nick Cannon last year, says despite her crush, she’s too busy to look for a partner in crime right now. She’s currently promoting the group’s final album and is prepping for the I Love the ’90s – The Party Continues Tour she’s going on with the likes of Montell Jordan, Biz Markie and Naughty By Nature. Still, she said that she’s open to whatever or whomever may come in the future when it comes to love.

“I’m so on the market,” she said. “I’m not looking, but I’m definitely open to it for sure. We all want it, if it’s right; we all would love to have a good, healthy relationship.”

If you are a lover of fitness, you’re in luck, though. Workout facilities are starting to pop up at international and domestic airports to help you get some exercise in while you wait for your flight.

Self.com spotlighted the trend by sharing the news that London’s Heathrow Airport announced that they will follow the lead of airports in Dubai and Singapore and have a gym in their complex. Partnering with FlyFit to bring the facility to life, the Heathrow gym in Terminal Two will offer a wide array of classes. It will also have healthy food options for those who don’t want to get caught up with regular airport food. There will be shower facilities, of course, for you to get cleaned up in, and even workout clothing you can rent if you forget to bring your own. And in different airports in the United States as well, more and more fitness facilities are popping up. That includes Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco International, Baltimore-Washington and now, Chicago-O’Hare International. One of the big airport fitness facility chains growing is ROAM Fitness, which offers classes, machines, rental apparel (including shoes), showers and more. According to their website, they hope to open more than 20 locations within the next five years, with aspirations to expand to Atlanta, Charlotte, New York’s JFK and LaGuardia, LAX and many more.

You can work out for the day when you’re in the airport where ROAM facilities are located for $25 a day. For a month’s membership (if you’re a frequent flier for work), the cost is $100. And if you’re running up and down airports all year long, there is a yearly membership for $350.

Perks of a ROAM membership include luggage lockers that have power outlets so you can charge your devices while working up a sweat. Annual members can reserve private showers 24 hours in advance so you can hop in and out when you have a flight to catch (day and monthly members can reserve a shower when they enter the facility). There’s a towel service, the rental of clothing and shoes is free, and they have have top-notch products by Malin+Goetz for you to clean up with. All you need to check out one of ROAM’s spots (aside from a day, month or yearly membership) is a valid boarding pass or a badge if you’re an airport employee.

With these options in mind, you no longer have an excuse to sit at the charging booth scarfing down on Sbarro’s pizza while you’re dealing with a delayed flight. Now you can work out while you wait.
